Barbie Birthday Party

Come on Barbie, Let’s have a Birthday Party!

Barbie parties bring out the beauty in all girls. Many girls like to pretend they are Barbie with since she is so glamorous in her fast cars, prestigious careers and spends her time relaxing with her friends on the beach.

When sending invitations to the Barbie party, purchase pre-made invitations or use pink and purple cardstock as the main colors. Attach ribbon, glitter and Barbie stickers to add spice to the invitations. Invite the girls to bring make-up or their favorite Barbie doll to the party. This works great for both birthday or “just because” parties.

Turn your living room into a dressing room for your Barbie Party. Cover your furniture and carpet in sheets and set up chairs and desks in front of a long mirror. Sit the girls down and take turn having them get dolled up. Have adults on hand to curl hair and give makeovers to the girls. Keep the girls busy who have had their turn in the dressing room by having a table with Barbies and accessories so the girls can dress up their Barbies. They can spend time playing Barbies while waiting their turn.

Once the girls at the Barbie party are all made up it’s time for a Barbie fashion show. Pull out old clothes with high heeled shoes, feather boas and large hats. Have the girls pick out their outfits and walk down the hallway as a runway. If your party is on a nice day the backyard can be set up as a make-shift runway. Take pictures of each girl on a digital camera and print them out to send them home. Don’t forget to wash the girls’ faces before they leave!

All girls love the chance to dress up like Barbie, and Barbie parties are a chance for them to be dolled up!
